Who am I? Who are you? Who are we? My practice currently explores the theme of identity, from a female perspective. Politics, feminism and the female form are subjects I explore throughout my practice, looking within myself to depict what makes me – me.

Key to the works presented here however, is the notion of covering and the suppression of what is seen. In the process of making these pieces the figure is submerged beneath plaster-soaked cloth, using the vehicle of my own body to create forms that encourage the viewer to consider what is seen or more particularly what is not seen.
